City and Statewide Ballot Measures
I am still a member of the city council and I am so grateful and thankful to have been a member. Consequently this election I am wearing multiple hats: and I hope you as a voter will offer me space and grace to speak my mind and express my opinions on these issues. You elected me as a council member because you believe in my ability to stand up and state the facts.

Library Re-Districting
As a member of the budget committee at the city, I have seen firsthand some of our budgetary constraints and at times we have to take from one department to fund another department. In that context, I do see the benefit of the library district because funding the library is no longer at the whim of the budget.
Even Year Election
Ballot Question 2E
In Boulder, we believe our diversity is our strength, and each and every day we strive for equity and inclusion. Because I have had deep discussions with the proponents of the even-year election, I am now a firm believer that their proposal may help us to ensure the inclusion of all. We the people of Boulder want a community where we all feel a sense of belonging because we participated.

Climate Tax Measure
Ballot Issue 2A & 2B
As a pro environment council member I am in full support and will be voting yes!
Flood Mitigation
Ballot Question 2F
In Boulder, we believe our diversity is our strength, and each and every day we strive for equity and inclusion. Because I have had deep discussions with the proponents of the even-year election, I am now a firm believer that their proposal may help us to ensure the inclusion of all. Affordable Housing Finance Program

Dedicates a portion of revenues (one-tenth of one percent) from existing income tax revenues and allocates funds to housing projects, including "affordable housing financing programs that will reduce rents, purchase land for affordable housing development, build assets for renters, support affordable homeownership, serve persons experiencing homelessness, and support local planning capacity"

Healthy School Meals for All Program
Reduces the allowable state income tax deduction amounts; creates and funds the Healthy School Meals for All Program.
This State-Wide initiative will ensure any public school participating in the program will be fully reimbursed for providing free breakfasts and lunches to all students who need them. This will ensure no kid goes hungry because their family can’t afford to put food on the table
